How to Properly Recycle
We understand that recycling could be a little confusing, so we are here to help simplify the process and increase the percentage of beauty products packaging, that is recycled.
Beauty products account for a small percentage of all landfill waste. It pains us to see all these go into the landfill when it could be recycled.
At Melbourne Naturals, the outer packaging is all made of recycled paper and is 100% Recyclable in domestic recycling. So you could just put it into the Recycle bin and rest assured that you did it right.
Our facial oils are packed in amber glass bottles. Using glass in packaging has its pros and cons. Pro : Glass is infinitely recyclable and not a fossil fuel based material.
It is one of the most environmentally sound materials in packaging design, as glass can be recycled continuously without any loss in resulting structure and quality.
Con : Manufacturing glass is an energy intensive process when it is made from sand, a virgin material.
How to Recycle?
Carton, cap and glass container are 100% recyclable so can be disposed of in your domestic recycling. Sadly our labels are the only component that is not recyclable, but, we are working on it!

- Rinse out all of the contents of the glass jar and cap
- Put into recycling bin
As a consumer of a skincare product from Melbourne Naturals, you are being mindful about the products that you use and shop from. It is important to consciously choose brands and products that look at the planet- health.
We recommend with all products and packaging to REDUCE the amount you use, REUSE what you can, and only then, make sure you RECYCLE.
